I’ve experienced most aspects of the industry from ‘hot shops’ to worldwide agencies.
The one thing that’s never changed is my love of doing good work. It’s still a rewarding feeling to be part of a strong team and make great ideas happen.
Over the years I’ve gained valuable experience and knowledge of creative strategy and communication, being equally at home with TV, poster, radio, press, digital or content. I’m client-friendly (according to clients) and happy to present my own ideas or teamwork, where I’m pragmatic but willing to argue a good cause.
As a Group Head at Lowe I was responsible for creative direction & hiring/firing teams. Plus working for a worldwide company, I traveled extensively sometimes linking up with sister agencies to supervise projects at home and abroad.
The other end of the scale was running my own Creative Consultancy, which was a brief but thoroughly empowering experience. And I'm currently a 'gun for hire' on the freelance circuit.
So I’ve enjoyed it all - and clichéd though it sounds - I still do.
